TRIS(DIMETHYLAMINO)-TERT-BUTYLAMIDO TANTALUM - Introduction
t-Butylimidotris(dimethylamido)tantalum(V) is an organic tantalum compound with the formula [(CH3)2N]3Ta(NBut)(tBu). It can be prepared according to the following method: first tert-butanol and triethylamine are reacted to form [tBuNEt3], and then [tBuNEt3] is reacted with [NBun](Me)3TaCl2 to give t-Butylimidotris(dimethylamido)tantalum(V).
t-Butylimidotris(dimethylamido)tantalum(V) is a yellow solid with high stability at room temperature. It is soluble in organic solvents, but insoluble in water. The compounds are commonly used as organometallic precursors in chemical synthesis and material preparation.
Applications of t-Butylimidotris(dimethylamido)tantalum(V) include: as a precursor for tantalum thin films, for material preparation in the fields of coatings, surface photovoltaics, and chemical vapor deposition. It can also be used in catalytic reactions, organic synthesis and the preparation of high-performance electronic devices.
Regarding safety information, t-Butylimidotris(dimethylamido)tantalum(V) should be handled with caution. It may cause irritation and damage to the skin, eyes and respiratory system. Use should wear protective equipment, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and need to operate in a well-ventilated place. In case of accidental contact or inhalation, wash skin or eyes immediately and seek medical help.
